Electric Athletic Club Leadership Team
Our Electric Team
Josh Goldman, MD, MBA // Co-Founder // Ops
Josh is a longtime athlete and Sports Medicine physician at UCLA. Beginning with his track & field days in high school, running has consistently been a part of his life. He founded EAC with his two closest college friends to create a meaningful community around the sport in the empty space most of us experience post-college.
Outside of running, he spends most of his time on campus at UCLA treating patients and athletes alike. He completed his fellowship training in Sports Medicine and residency training in Family Medicine at the UCLA. He attended graduate school at the University of Southern California, completing his Medical Degree concurrent with his Master of Business Administration.
Josh is currently the Team Physician for the UCLA Football, Men’s Soccer, and Women’s Water Polo teams. He previously served as team physician for a number of UCLA Athletics teams and numerous high schools in the Los Angeles area. He worked as a volunteer physician at the United States Olympic Training Center, USA Hockey, and the AVP Tour. His areas of research include sport-related concussion, training load and injury, sleep & sports performance, distance running, and pediatric sports medicine.

Tom Fitzpatrick // Director of Events
Tom grew up in the fine state of New Jersey where he planned on making the leap from high school straight into the pros for basketball. Around age 12, this dream was faded as reality set in. Soon thereafter, Tom found a new love in the form of distance running. A 3-time All-County runner at St. Peter’s Prep in Jersey City, NJ, he went along to receive a Division 1 Scholarship to run at Fairfield University in Connecticut. He graduated with a BS in Communications and is currently a television producer for FOX Sports in LA
Today you can find Tom running the roads of Santa Monica and the surrounding westside of LA as he looks to lower his PRs in the half and full marathons. Tom also serves as the Assistant Director of EAC Santa Monica and has a passion for training, music of all types, and large fluffy dogs. Tom loves EAC for the lasting friendships he has made, as well as the impetus for improvement in his running and general fitness that it has provided.
His favorite foods are sweet potatoes and salmon and his favorite dog breed is Bernese Mountain Dog. And no, he is not good at surfing.

Mike Kelly // Director of Partnerships
Born and raised in West Long Branch, NJ. Former College Football player at the University at Albany. Former owner of Papa Bear's Nut Butters and currently working in Digital Media with Atmosphere TV AKA CHIVE TV. Loves spending time cooking, specifically smoking BBQ! I also do some modeling and acting on the side!
I never considered myself a runner (and still don't!) but I've been proud to train hard and compete in several races over the years. One of my proudest fitness achievements is having run the Speed Project 2x with two awesome teams. If you need someone to officiate your wedding, I'm a certified Minister, also technically a Lord. So you can call me Lord Reverend Michael A. Kelly of Glencoe.
If you're interested in partnering with EAC, Mike is your guy. Looking forward to connecting with you!

He was the technical co-founder of unscruff, inc., a subscription-based ecommerce company that provided a simple shopping experience for men's clothes. He founded and currently runs Race Day Rangers, designing and selling merit badges and commemorative race patches for runners. From inventory management to supply chain to merchandising to customer development, Jay has been there and done that.
